When you first look at the birth chart, you might think, “What are these lines, and what do these lines indicate?” The angles formed by those lines are described as “aspects,” which play a significant role in your astrological makeup. The aspects reveal how the planets relate to one another and show how you interact with the world.

There are 10 aspects in Astrology: conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition, quincunx, semi-sextile, sesquiquadrate, quintile, and bi-quintile. Each of these aspects creates different energy, which affects how you experience life.

Some Astrologers believe that the conjunction is the most important aspect, representing new beginnings. This is when two planets come together and form a line. The planets’ energy is combined, which can create either a positive or negative effect.

If two planets in conjunction have a lot of tension between them, it can indicate that the person has experienced some sort of trauma in their life. This is because the energy of the planets is so intense that it can create a situation where the person is constantly reliving their trauma.

The sextile is another aspect that can indicate trauma. This is when two planets are 60 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The square is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 90 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is very intense, which can create a lot of challenges for the person.

The trine is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 120 degrees apart. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The opposition is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 180 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is very intense, which can create a lot of challenges for the person.

The quincunx is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 150 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The semi-sextile is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 30 degrees apart. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The sesquiquadrate is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 135 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The quintile is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 72 degrees apart from each other. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

The bi-quintile is an aspect that occurs when two planets are 144 degrees apart. The energy of the planets is not as intense as it is in conjunction, but it can still create some challenges for the person.

All of these aspects can indicate trauma, but the most important thing to remember is that the planets involved will determine the severity of the trauma. The harder the aspect, the more intense the trauma is likely to be.

Not all people with these aspects will have experienced trauma, as many other factors can influence a person’s life. However, if you wonder if your astrological chart might indicate trauma, it is important to consult with an Astrologer who can help you interpret your chart.

Trauma can be observed in the birth chart through the big guys as well – Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn. Each of these planets produces a distinct form of trauma and coping responses.

  • Neptune

Neptune is the planet of deception, illusions, and addictions. People with strong Neptune energy may have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. They may have been lied to or betrayed. They may be codependent or have an addiction.

  • Pluto

Pluto is the planet of power, control, and obsession. People with strong Pluto energy may have experienced abuse, trauma, or violence. They may be obsessed with power or control. They may be manipulative or coercive.

  • Uranus

Uranus is the planet of sudden change, trauma, and chaos. People with strong Uranus energy may have experienced a traumatic event such as an accident, natural disaster, or death. They may be unpredictable or erratic. They may have a short temper or be easily agitated.

  • Saturn

Saturn is the planet of restriction, responsibility, and self-discipline. People with strong Saturn energy may have experienced abuse, trauma, or neglect. They may feel burdened by responsibility or constrained by rules and regulations. They may be self-critical or have a fear of failure.

Past Life Trauma Astrology

There are a few different ways to look at Past Life Trauma in the birth chart. One way is to look at the South Node. The South Node represents where we have been, and the North Node represents where we are going. If the South Node is in a difficult aspect, it can indicate that we are dealing with some unresolved issues from a past life.

Another way to look at Past Life Trauma is through the 8th house. The 8th house is traditionally associated with death, secrets, and hidden things. If there are any difficult planets in the 8th house, it can indicate that we are dealing with some unresolved issues from a past life.

If you think you may have experienced Past Life Trauma, it is important to seek professional help. There are many resources available to help you heal from your experiences.

Signs of Abuse In Natal Chart

There are a few different Astrological natal chart placements that can indicate trauma. One of the most common is the Moon in Scorpio. This placement often signifies someone who has experienced emotional or physical abuse and deep feelings of insecurity. Moon in Scorpio can also indicate someone who has experienced a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster or the death of a loved one.

If you have this placement in your chart, it is important to remember that your experiences are not your fault. You may have been dealt a difficult hand in life, but you can use your experiences to help others who have been through similar things.

Another placement that can indicate trauma is Neptune in the 8th house. This placement often signifies someone who has experienced sexual abuse and deep feelings of shame and guilt. Neptune in the 8th house can also indicate someone who has been betrayed by someone they trusted.

If you have this placement in your chart, it is important to remember that you are not alone. Many people have experienced the same thing, and you can use your experiences to help others who have been through similar things.

PTSD & Astrology – All You Need To Know

PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, refers to a psychological disorder that occurs when a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event. Symptoms of PTSD can include flashbacks, nightmares, difficulty sleeping, and feeling on edge.

While anyone can develop PTSD after experiencing a traumatic event, some people may be more likely to experience it than others. Research has shown that certain risk factors make someone more susceptible to developing PTSD. These include having a history of trauma, experiencing particularly severe or long-lasting trauma, and not having a support system in place after the event.

One factor associated with an increased risk of PTSD is having certain astrological placements. Specifically, the planets Mars and Pluto are linked with PTSD.

Mars is the planet of action and aggression, and Pluto is the planet of death and transformation. These planets are often involved in traumatic events, as they can represent the energy of violence and destruction. Having these planets prominently placed in your natal chart can indicate that you are more likely to experience trauma in your life.

If you have Mars and Pluto in difficult aspects to each other, this can further increase the likelihood of experiencing PTSD. This is because these planets will be in a state of tension, which can create an environment conducive to trauma.

Other astrological placements can also be linked with PTSD. These include the 8th house, which is associated with death and transformation, and the 12th house, associated with hidden enemies and self-undoing.

If you have any of these placements in your natal chart, it does not mean that you will experience PTSD. However, it does mean that you may be more susceptible to it than others.

If you have experienced a traumatic event, it is important to seek professional help if you are struggling to cope. There are many resources available to help people who are dealing with PTSD. You can recover from this condition and lead a healthy and fulfilling life with the right treatment and support.

Every astrologer will have their own interpretation methods and astrological toolkit, but the three basic pieces are the signs, planets, and houses. I mix of brainstorm-style writing and cookbook-style interpretation playing with astrological keywords to describe natal placements, forecasts, and synastry in Modern Astrology.

Interpretations – Planets in Signs, Planets in Houses

  • Planets describe a certain process of what is happening – eg. Mars fights, Saturn limits, Jupiter expands..
  • Sign in which the planet is located determines how the planet is manifesting itself, for example Mars may manifest itself in a way Aries would behave (vigorously and irritably) or in the manner of Taurus (more slowly, gradually and consistently)
  • Houses show special areas of everyday life, in which all this takes place. Location in a house shows whether, for example Mars manifests in relationships (7th house), employment (6th house), family (4th house) or elsewhere.

Hint:
Planets show us what is happening;
Signs show us how it is happening;
Houses show us where it is happening.
